How to Resolve Battery Replacement / Connection Issues

I know this will sound a little odd, but over the years batteries have gotten a slight bit smaller as have candy bars and many other products.

We are starting to see several brands of batteries simply not make contact with the positive terminals of the batteries (+).

Here's what to do for quick easy fix: Take a small sheet of tin foil, cut say a 1"x 1" square or so, fold it a couple of times not too thick, but a square approximately 1/2" x 1/2" open the battery compartment, note which is the positive contact (+) opposite of the spring, take out the batteries and using a jeweler's type small screw driver and being very careful pry outward from behind the positive contact (+) only. Insert the small square of tin foil just behind the contact, between the metal contact and the black plastic. This will push the contact forwards towards the positive tip to make contact. Presto! This should enable the battery terminal to properly make contact and your device to work as normal.

The image above shows the tin foil properly inserted behind (+) positive contact side. Just be careful to not use too much foil during the application.
